The PPM Concentration Bottle contains one million
tiny beads but only one white bead. Other colored
beads represent 10 ppm, 100 ppm, 1000 ppm, 1%,
and 10% concentrations in addition to blue beads
that represent the solvent. When your students start
to look for the 1ppm and 10ppm beads, they will see
first-hand that these values are extremely small. PPM
Needle in a Haystack Bottle contains one million tiny
yellow beads and just one blue bead. The single bead is
still very difficult to find and demonstrates the minute
nature of a ppm concentration. However, without the
distractions of all the other colors, the single bead is
