Economical Spine Model With Femur Heads and Muscle Insertions
Replica. Cast in a material that simulates the look and feel of real bone, this lifesized model’s realistic representation of the vertebral column allows for close-up study of individual structures. The occipital plate; cervical, thoracic, and lumbar vertebrae; sacrum and coccyx; and a full pelvis with symphysis and removable femur heads are exhibited in accurate re-creation. Additional features shown include the vertebral arteries, spinal nerve branches, and a herniated disc between the third and fourth lumbar vertebrae. Further detail on the left side of the spine reveals the points of origin and the points of insertion of the muscles, painted in red and blue, respectively. For hands-free demonstrations, a sturdy hanging stand is also included.
