Description

Learn of one nanomaterial, ferrofluid,and some of its
applications in modern technology. Create magnetite
nanoparticles through a precipitation reaction, while
employing a surfactant to create a colloidal suspension
of magnetite nanoparticles (ferrofluid). Then examine
the response of ferrofluid when exposed to a magnetic
field. Teaching notes included.
