Description
A manual is provided with every kit. This kit
was developed at SAPS (Science and Plants for
Schools), Homerton College, Cambridge, UK. The
kit uses Microscience techniques to help students
understand the various factors that influence enzyme
activity. Starting with Mung Beans, an extraction of
Phosphatase is accomplished followed by a series of
semi-quantitative measurements.
These include:
Phosphatase activity
Effect of pH on activity
Effect of concentration on rate
Effect of temperature (Heat Stability)
Effect of time on product formation
Effect of inhibitors on activity
