This heavy duty machine is constructed from steel legs and a heavy duty Formica table top plate bed. To operate the slab roller, turn both the adjustable knobs on top of the frame at the same time, a little at a time, to lower the roller and create pressure on the block of clay. Then, rotate the large flywheel or turn handle on the side of the machine. The Slab Roller is supplied with 2 canvas blankets which are used to sandwich your block of clay. We advise that you stretch the width of your block of clay so that when it is rolled you get width as well as length. You can also cut your clay block into slices and lay the long edge of each slice together and the rolling action will join them into a flat piece.
