The safe and acid free way to produce brilliant intaglio and/or relief prints. Use the Solar Plates with a design on an acetate sheet for a relief printing plate or expose the Solar Plate first with the Aquatint sheets (see below) then expose again with your acetate design for an Intaglio print. The steel Solarplates are supplied coated with a special emulsion which when exposed to the sun or UV light will transfer your design onto the plate. There is no need to use etching crystals if you are using the Solar Plates for Intaglio prints which reduces the exposure to chemicals. Colours of the plates may vary and some may come with a removal film over the coated surface. The results from these plates will never fail to impress.
